"Opened in Sorrento Valley’s work campus, The Park, I found this 10,000-square-foot dining and event space from Whisknladle Hospitality aiming to become a hub for the local “Silicon South” community; design-wise it has a fluid, clean aesthetic punctuated by custom rope fixtures and a mural from two Tijuana-based artists, and it includes a soon-to-be-open adjoining 3,000-square-foot outdoor patio that overlooks The Park’s tree-lined public green lawn and gaming area and is slated to open in early December. Inside are five individual counter-serve concepts created by Ryan Johnston and executive chef Joanna Rockwell, a full-service bar showcasing local spirits alongside a rotating selection of wine and local craft beers on draft, and high-tech touchscreen kiosks that make ordering a cashless, expedited experience; there’s also a daily happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m." - Keri Bridgwater
