"Originally a Brigham’s in 1990 and reopened under Colleen Hallisey after the chain’s 2009 bankruptcy, Colleen’s became a beloved Medford institution under Hallisey for 30 years until her death in January 2018; when Kolin and Vicki Burgoyne bought the shop in 2019 they emphasized changing as little as possible, preserving Colleen’s role as a familiar community gathering spot that hosts pop-ups, birthday parties, and serves coffee while focusing on a great product and a welcoming atmosphere." - Terrence Doyle
