"Located at 1 Nashua St., next to North Station, Kicco Italian Coffee opened September 28 and — according to owner Vittorio Wurzburger — aims to be "the first real Neapolitan coffee shop in Boston." Wurzburger’s family from Naples has been roasting coffee since 1892, and he imports and distributes that coffee, Caffè Kenon, to ensure everything tastes like home; roughly 90 percent of Kicco’s offerings are prepared in Italy by Italian chefs using Italian ingredients and then shipped to Boston (everything except the produce and dairy). The downtown shop’s large glass windows reveal a stripped-down interior of blacks, whites, and grays, and the menu (now available to order online) includes pizza with mushrooms and burrata, turkey and vegetarian panini, pistachio cake, and bomboloni filled with cream or chocolate. The cafe boasts two different espresso machines and three distinct coffee blends, including a 100-percent Arabica option, and serves drinks ranging from cappuccinos to Nutella lattes to cold coffee cream; current hours are 6 a.m.–6 p.m. Monday–Friday and 8 a.m.–4 p.m. on weekends." - Adam H.
