Johnny Mañana’s Goes All in on Day of the Dead Decor in Callowhill | Eater Philly

"I learned that Johnny Mañana’s, which closed in East Falls in 2016 after almost 15 years, is getting a second life in Callowhill: owner Tim Bonnie, joined by co-owner Bianca DeSantis, has revived the Mexican-American eatery in the Goldtex apartment building at 315 N. 12th Street in the former Brick & Mortar space, and it's open now. They went kitschy with a sombrero-and-mustache logo, Day of the Dead decor, and an Aztec-style wall design. The food is billed as Mexican and Southwestern, featuring tacos, fajitas, burritos, wings, and nachos, and the signature drink is a $5 classic margarita (also available in a 32-ounce version for $10).
