Syrian Restaurant Damas Plans New Downtown Market | Eater Montreal

"According to La Presse, Damas chef-owner Fuad Alnirabie is planning a major new project inside the Montreal Forum on Atwater: a 20,000-square-foot venue with room for nearly 300 that combines a market-like space with a café and take-out counter, gourmet retail, and a large restaurant split into two rooms with a bar (which also has seating). The format is reportedly inspired by New York City’s Eataly, and La Presse highlights lush, exotic décor details such as 16-foot fountains. It’s slated to open in December, will offer dishes different from Damas on Van Horne, and may even include brunch." - Tim Forster
