"After nearly 20 years of slinging Southern fare in the Bishop Arts District, stalwart Dallas restaurant Hattie's has closed its doors. According to CultureMap, the restaurant served its final meals on February 16, and claimed that its closure was temporary before reportedly telling its now-former employees 'not to bother showing up.' Amid its departure, some of the restaurant’s vendors and workers claim that owner Tony Alvarez owes them money." - Amy McCarthy
