"Ford Fry’s chicken al carbon restaurant, Little Rey, opens Monday, May 27 (Memorial Day) — at least, that’s the plan — with free breakfast tacos during a preview on Saturday, May 25. The quick-service Tex-Mex restaurant on Piedmont Avenue in Piedmont Heights centers around a wood-roasted style chicken called al carbon served in quarters, halves, family-sized whole birds as well as in tacos. In addition to the chicken and steak al carbon tacos, Little Rey offers suadero, carne asada, and migas breakfast tacos, vegetable sides, fresh salsas and tortillas, salads, and soft serve ice cream on its menu. Frozen and fresh margaritas, agua frescas, and local and Mexican beers, which are found in a reach-in cooler, make up the beverage list. Food and drinks are ordered at the counter or via a take-out window. Little Rey doles out free breakfast tacos at the restaurant this Saturday, from 9 a.m. until they’re gone.
