"Serving Daly City for more than a century, Estrada’s Restaurant closed yesterday after 102 years in business. The Daly City Mexican restaurant was perhaps most famous for its sizzling tostada, a salad with beans, chorizo, cheese, black olives, and red wine vinaigrette served on a hot iron plate. While business had started falling off in recent years, the restaurant received some more attention when it was featured on Food Network’s Restaurant Impossible in 2013. But now, the owners of 12 years want to retire and are selling Estrada’s. It will soon reopen as a Mediterranean restaurant from friends of the owners." - Janelle Bitker
