"Opening late summer or early fall at the intersection of Highway 290 and Wortham Road, this lodge-themed, dog-friendly restaurant will be the chain’s first South Texas outpost. It occupies a massive footprint with an enormous dining room, a spacious bar and a giant outdoor, dog-friendly patio (which has a special canine menu featuring grilled meats and brown rice); the bar and patio will also have TVs for game watching. Interiors are decorated in the brand’s signature Rocky Mountain lodge aesthetic—cozy fireplaces, ledge stone, Aspen-log chandeliers and Wyoming-style artwork. The menu leans Americana with international touches and rotating seasonal items such as crispy deviled eggs and roasted winter vegetables, mains like spaghetti squash with “beetballs,” apple-sage pork chops and BBQ bison meatloaf, and house desserts including a seven-layer chocolate cake and apple-huckleberry pie. The bar offers an extensive cocktail list (notably a lemon margarita made with small-batch Lunazul tequila) and draft beers like Huckleberry Haze IPA. Service will include lunch, dinner, weekend brunch, happy hour and late-night eats." - Alaena Hostetter
