New South Lamar Asian Restaurant Opens Just in Time for SXSW | Eater Austin

"Opening today, Friday, March 9 at 5 p.m., this Asian spot in the ever-changing Lamar Union places Mandala Kitchen & Bar in the heart of South by Southwest traffic near the Alamo Drafthouse. Chef/owner Kieu Pham will focus on Vietnamese and Thai specialties, with dishes that include crispy rice pies topped with shredded pork, dehydrated shrimp, and white truffle oil, a seafood noodle salad, and a Viet-Cajun tribute with crawfish.
