"Born during the pandemic as a way to get musicians working safely outdoors, DBA at Palace Market opened at 619 Frenchmen Street on May 20 with reserved seating, mobile cocktail service delivered to tables, food from Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro and Three Muses, and ticketed, seated concerts Friday through Sunday; the open-air venue is capped at 100 people with patrons seated at 28 tables, operates under a special-event permit, allows drink orders by phone to be delivered from D.B.A. (or picked up at the bar since Palace Market lacks its own liquor license), and launched with an opening weekend that included Ivan Neville, Papa Mali, Holly Rock, and the New Orleans Jazz Vipers, with tickets and table reservations available on D.B.A.’s website." - Clair Lorell
