Halal Guys is Opening in Locol’s Former Uptown Oakland Space - Eater SF
"New York-founded Middle Eastern franchise Halal Guys has found fertile ground in the Bay Area, first arriving in San Francisco and Berkeley. It’s now bound for Uptown Oakland at 2214 Broadway, with plans to open this summer there in the former home of Plum Bar and the original location of Daniel Patterson and Roy Choi’s fast food business Locol. The Uptown Local closed in Summer 2017 with the team moving its focus to West Oakland and a new location there.
