"A new bookstore dedicated to all things horror has opened in Williamsburg with shelves of dark literature, a coffee bar, and spooky-ish baked goods. Located at 306 Grand Street near Havemeyer Street, it serves a drinks menu developed by Julie Patadia of Devoción Coffee, including the Mary Shelley (a pandan latte topped with purple taro cream) and the Bela Lugosi Is Dead (a raspberry mocha with a red swirl), with beer and wine in the evenings. Pastries by Hadley Sui range from mini-zombie dolls—red berry–filled pastry crusted and served with chainsaw toothpicks—to pumpkin melon breads with orange cookie toppings and madeleines shaped like vampire teeth, alongside cookies from gothic Long Island bakery Nefarious Confections like the S’morgue, a s’mores–chocolate chip.
