Casa Almenara Tulum Cuisine and Craft Bar Is Replacing Restaurants 10th and Piedmont and G’s Midtown Near Atlanta’s Rainbow Crosswalk - Eater Atlanta
"After closing his restaurants 10th and Piedmont and G’s Midtown in early January to make “improvements” to the kitchens and dining rooms, owner Gilbert Yeremian is set to replace both in the coming weeks with a new restaurant serving Mexican fare. Located at the corner of 10th Street and Piedmont Avenue, just beyond Midtown’s famed rainbow crosswalk, Casa Almenara: Tulum Cuisine and Craft Bar takes over the spaces formerly home to 10th and Piedmont and G’s Midtown. Yeremian, who says it’s time to “introduce a new chapter of our restaurant history” into the two spaces, describes Casa Almenara as a “neighborhood destination” for Latin American dishes, centering on foods found in Tulum and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Almenara means “beacon” in Spanish. Like the food, the design for Casa Almenara will lean into the lush coastal vibes of Tulum, with breezy neutral tones, reclaimed wood, and green plants throughout the dining room and bar. Look for brunch served in the morning and early afternoon, followed by dinner and cocktails in the evening.
