"Opened recently on 1085 Morrison Drive in Charleston by restaurateurs Theresa and Anthony Scotto Jr. and their son Anthony Scotto III, this spot offers Brooklyn-style Italian—recipes rooted in what the family cooked after arriving from Italy in 1905. The menu favors red-sauce classics such as meatballs al forno, chicken Parmigiana, and garlic bread, while also featuring dishes like burnt broccolini, cacio e pepe, and radiatori vodka; frozen espresso martinis are even on tap. Prices are notably affordable (nothing is over $21). The interiors have been reimagined from the former tenant, Butcher & Bee, with black-and-white family photos, green leather banquettes, wood paneling, and a small bar anchoring the back. The owners started their first location in Nashville, where it became known for Italian comfort food in a relaxed setting, and chose Charleston because of family ties and frequent visits. Hours are Sunday–Thursday 5 p.m.–9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday 5 p.m.–10 p.m." - Erin Perkins
