"Founded in 1974 by Italian immigrant brothers Efren and Joseph Boglio, the chain now operates nearly 60 locations across nine states and ships its iconic pizza nationwide. Its pizza recipe swears by Wisconsin mozzarella, Mendocino County tomatoes, and specially milled, unbleached flour from Minnesota to build its thick crust. The inaugural D.C. location, a short walk from the White House, will take over the old MXDC space next to the Hamilton (600 14th Street NW); the site is huge, with room for 150 guests across 7,400 square feet, and will offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery when it opens in 2026." - Tierney Plumb
