The 15 Best Salvadoran Restaurants in Los Angeles | Eater LA

"Rosa Guillen purchased El Majahual two decades ago from its owner and has been running the show since. Under her care, the restaurant expanded to include a spacious dining area to accommodate families and large parties. Crowds descend on this Historic Filipinotown spot for Guillen’s famous rice flour pupusas, tamales de chipilin (an herb native to Central America), and sopa de pata (beef foot soup). To drink are Salvadoran aguas frescas like the fresco de arrayan, a sweet-tart fruit in the guava family." - Eric Valle
