"Opened in February 2017 on Montopolis Drive by Elena Sanguinetti and Gladys Benitez, the original Cafe Nenaí earned rave reviews from Austin Monthly and the Statesman for its coffee, pastries, and sandwiches. The original location will remain open, but its dining room is still closed due to the pandemic (Benitez hopes to reopen it soon), and the owners have struggled with translating the full cafe experience — including the usual Latin music — into to-go service while building out the new restaurant." - Erin Russell
