Vietnamese Pho Restaurant Pho Ga Tony Tony Opens in Norcross, Georgia, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta
"Chef Tony Le and Vinh Nguyen, the current owners behind famed Philadelphia Vietnamese restaurant Pho Ga Thanh Thanh, open Pho Ga Tony Tony on Friday, November 1, at the Carter Oak Plaza in Norcross. The Philly import brings its line-inducing chicken pho to metro Atlanta. Anchored by Hong Kong Supermarket in the Jimmy Carter Boulevard complex, Pho Ga Tony Tony serves chicken pho (pho ga) as either a fully composed bowl consisting of chicken and noodles swimming in an herby broth or as a bowl of broth and noodles with a whole or half chicken served on the side. The latter requires pulling the chicken apart by hand. Each bowl comes with a tiny ramekin containing a citrus, salt, pepper, and habanero pepper mixture meant for dipping the chicken before dunking it into the broth. Le also plans to include several new noodle dishes on the menu at Pho Ga Tony Tony once the restaurant is operating at full steam. The chef hopes to introduce the full menu by the end of November. For now, Le says he’s focusing on serving Atlantans the famous chicken pho made popular by his parents at their East Kensington neighborhood restaurant in Philadelphia." - Beth McKibben
