"I’m glad Un Bien has opened a third sandwich shop in Queen Anne — on Galer Street between Third and Fourth Avenues — so you no longer have to schlep to Ballard for their incredible Caribbean food. It’s currently open Wednesdays through Sundays, 4 to 9 p.m., while the team can “work out the little kinks,” but starting next Wednesday it will open from 11 a.m. like the other two Ballard locations. Unlike those shops’ outdoor walk-up window, here you can order inside, so no more waiting in the rain. The menu is exactly the same: big sandwiches featuring tender onions and flavor-packed, marinated meat, plus classic Caribbean sides like beans and rice (seriously, don’t sleep on the beans). Co-owner Lucas Lorenzo says the Queen Anne location took two and a half years to open because of a long construction and permitting process converting a non-restaurant space — “I’m never gonna do this again,” he adds, saying they’ll buy turnkeys going forward and will expand very slowly, spending the next year or two dialing this place in before considering another location." - Harry Cheadle
