"Veselka, known for its Eastern European dishes like borscht, kielbasa, and pierogies, is opening a new location in Williamsburg. This marks the first time the Ukrainian restaurant has operated in Brooklyn, adding to its original location on Second Avenue and another at Grand Central. The Williamsburg spot will feature a 40-seat dining area and serve as a commissary kitchen. In celebration of the opening, Veselka partnered with Katz’s Delicatessen to offer the pastrogi, a pierogi stuffed with pastrami, available for a limited time. The menu will include classics like beef stroganoff, Ukrainian meatballs, and schnitzel, along with new items and a 'Stand with Ukraine' bowl, with proceeds supporting relief efforts in Ukraine." - Melissa McCart
