"I spoke with Hadaya Samatar, a server at Club Balattou on St-Laurent, who said her qualms are not with her employer or clients but with a provincial government that failed to provide clarity and assurance to restaurant and bar staff; when the closures were announced her first reaction was worry because the government said owners would be taken care of but said nothing about workers. After doing some research she discovered the federal government had temporarily expanded EI on Sept. 27 to provide $500 a week like CERB and said she just wished that information had been shared up front." - Valerie Silva
