New Food Truck Brings Thai Rolled Ice Cream and Dessert Tacos to Midtown Park | Eater Houston

"Opening a truck at Midtown Park (2811 Travis Street), this mobile dessert spot operated by Kimico and Chris Frydenlund occupies a highly visible vintage trailer painted bright pink and brings Thai-style rolled ice cream to the neighborhood. Staff pour an ice cream base and mix toppings on a super-chilled metal plate, then form the characteristic ice cream rolls that are served in a waffled, taco-shaped cone or cup. The menu features inventive mixes such as the Gimme S’more (vanilla with graham crackers, Hershey’s chocolate, and toasted marshmallows) as well as simpler flavors like strawberry-banana and cookies and cream; customers can also suggest their own combinations that may be added to the menu. An official grand opening party is scheduled for February 17 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m." - Amy McCarthy
