"Housed in a cute, faux-Bavarian A-frame at the back of the Whole Foods parking lot, just steps from the culinary powerhouse of Northeast 28th Avenue, Franks has been delivering jumbo-sized dogs and hand-made milkshakes to Portlanders for nearly 30 years. Be warned: the one-third pound German beer frank is not for the faint-hearted, and the chili topping is hearty and loaded with beans.
