"I was bothered that Dolphin Tavern was mentioned among FCM Hospitality properties that had been applying automatic “wellness”/“employee benefit” fees of about 3–5% to diners’ bills to purportedly fund staff benefits like mental health services and transit passes; following public outcry FCM Hospitality dropped the fee, but I maintain that restaurants should not slip such charges onto customers without clear, upfront disclosure and an actual choice to contribute." - Ernest Owens
