"Opening Friday, January 17 at 1450 Broadway near West 41st Street in Midtown, this Boston-founded chain (started in 2021) is run under the American South Indian restaurant company Godavari and plans to open three more Manhattan locations throughout 2025. The menu features choose-your-own dosas with fillings such as paneer, spicy potatoes, and beef; toppings like eggs and cheese; and dips. Other offerings include several rice plates, chaats like pani puri, and sandwiches with chile cheese, lamb, or beef. The New York outpost will also offer some exclusive dishes, such as the pesarattu (dosas made with green lentils), paniyaram (pan-fried lentil dumplings), and little uttapams. The space includes a 20-seat dining room with tables and counters and an open-kitchen view." - Nadia Chaudhury
