"When it opened in 1978 the restaurant featured floor-to-ceiling windows and a dining room that rotated every hour, originally conceived as a traditional white-tablecloth steakhouse serving surf and turf, chops and prime rib and later folding in Southwestern influences; under chef Andy Tuntivatingorn in 2006 it added New American dishes blending Mediterranean, Asian and other influences. Critics noted showy portions and a commanding view — one review called a spring roll “big as a burrito” and labeled the spot a “Destination with a capital ‘D,’” albeit with prices to match — before Antares closed in 2007 for a major renovation of the tower and Union Station." - Amy Kelley
