"Started in Austin in 2016 as an homage to the owner's grandparents, both Holocaust survivors, this wildly popular deli is known for top-notch bagels and classic Jewish deli staples. Signature items include bagels and lox, towering triple-meat corned beef Reuben sandwiches, and inventive breakfast offerings like pastrami breakfast tacos, omelets, and breakfast sandwiches. After expanding to three Austin locations (two of which later closed), the owner Zach plans to open three Houston outposts — in River Oaks, Vintage Park, and Orleans Square at Lake Houston — slated to arrive in late 2021, with corporate filings suggesting River Oaks could open first. He says the team is honored to share their food and family legacy with the Houston community." - Amy McCarthy
