"An immersive restaurant and dive-bar concept embedded within the exhibition that transports diners into a fictional ‘Great Beyond’ — a Texas-flavored upside-down world populated by eccentric characters and sculptural oddities. Guests can expect whimsical visual set pieces such as a disco ball–headed pool shark, an elderly armadillo that spins yarn, a weeping creature representing grief, and an illuminated sculptural tribute to a late founder (Matt King, who died in 2022). Music will be largely jukebox-driven, featuring 30 tracks recorded by Texas musicians spanning traditional country, Tejano, Ranchero and more experimental, futuristic sounds. While the menu has not been released, it’s described as ethereal and eclectic, offering imaginative twists on classic dive-bar fare and Texas comfort food crafted to complement the psychedelic, nostalgia-tinged vision of lead artist and creative director Cole Bee Wilson, who draws on his fifth-generation Texan upbringing to blend the familiar with the unexpected." - Brittany Britto Garley
