Chateau Ste. Michelle Partners with the Seattle Kraken, and Climate Pledge Arena | Eater Seattle

"I learned that Woodinville-based Chateau Ste. Michelle will be one of the Seattle Kraken’s official partners and is establishing a major presence at the still-under-construction Climate Pledge Arena, including a sizable marketplace near the main entrance featuring its 14 Hands brand and a wine bar called the Chateau (the latter reserved for club-level season ticket members). Among the wines it will offer at the arena is a limited-edition 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon created to honor the 100th anniversary of the Seattle Metropolitans’ Stanley Cup win; the winery plans to engrave a nine-liter bottle and set it aside to be opened “when the Seattle Kraken win their first Stanley Cup.” The company also intends to produce new red and white Kraken-branded wine cans to sell at the arena and local retailers in the fall, and it highlights its EnviroStar certification and efforts to reduce energy use and conserve water—qualities that appear to align with the arena’s sustainability goals." - Gabe Guarente
