"Chef Shay Lavi’s Rozina Bakehouse & Coffee is now open on Hurt Plaza, across from the historic Hurt Building, in downtown Atlanta. Rozina features Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-inspired freshly-baked breads and pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast dishes as well as Batdorf & Bronson coffee. The bakery and cafe is named for Lavi’s grandmother. Rozina’s all-day menu includes sandwiches like a lamb brisket BLT, paninis, shakshuka, salads, and a hummus plate, along with a chicken biscuit, French toast, and eggs benedict for breakfast. There’s also a mini falafel burger and a regular house burger listed. Everything on the menu is under $10, which is in keeping with the area’s large student population from nearby Georgia State University. Two counter cases are filled with pre-made, baguette sandwiches, pastries, baked goods, and desserts for grab-and-go. The student-friendly dining room also features several two and four-top tables, a long banquette, and a two-sided bar equipped with outlets and USB plugs." - Beth McKibben
