"A longtime fixture and favorite among the local vegan and vegetarian dining community, Garden Grill has grown from farmer’s market origins and is very close to upgrading to a full-time, counter-service restaurant. Originally planning soft-opening days, a broken A/C prompted the owners to instead announce a series of “pop up,” limited-hour test days while the team works out remaining operational kinks. It replaces the 1,300-square-foot former home of Samurai Sam’s Teriyaki Grill at 7550 W. Lake Mead Blvd., a short walk from the Sprouts grocery store in the Summerlin Gateway Plaza retail center. Still to reveal regular opening hours, the 100% plant-based menu is expected to include several of the compassionate food crafters’ best-known dishes, including “Crispy Chick’n Sandwiches,” “Philly Cheeze Steaks,” and “beer battered avocado” tacos, and will add a Jones soda fountain machine and soft-serve desserts." - Bradley Martin
