"I'm reporting that a new outpost of The Taco Stand has opened in North Park, taking over the former Tacos Perla storefront at the base of the North Parker mixed-use development on the corner of 30th and Upas. Operated by Showa Hospitality, this fourth location of the Tijuana-inspired, fast-casual taco chain serves the same street tacos built on made-to-order corn tortillas—highlighting items like tacos al pastor—and will offer several beers on tap. Showa also operates restaurants such as Himitsu and Pizza on Pearl in La Jolla and Hiden in Miami, and the chain has other Taco Stand locations in La Jolla, downtown San Diego and Encinitas." - Jackie Bryant
