"I've followed this food truck–turned–local chain as it keeps expanding across the DMV; it's bringing its beloved buttermilk fried chicken sandwiches to its first Maryland restaurant this fall inside the Pike & Rose complex in North Bethesda. The 1,843-square-foot outpost — Roaming Rooster’s sixth in the region — will serve its Nashville hot, Buffalo, and honey butter chicken sandwiches, along with wings, tenders, salads, sides, and an all-week breakfast menu featuring biscuit sandwiches. Their birds are free-range, grain-fed, antibiotic-free and halal, and the fast-growing business from Michael Habtemariam, Biniam Habtemariam, and Hareg Mesfin has already debuted an AU Street NW location, opened in Tenleytown this winter, and is headed to the Western Market food hall in Foggy Bottom and to Skyland Town Center in Southeast." - Tierney Plumb
