"A suburban hot dog stand in Des Plaines, Paradise Pup at 1724 S. River Road has operated for 36 years and is known for standout burgers, Chicago-style dogs, and milkshakes; Guy Fieri visited in 2007 and put Paradise Pup on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. It unexpectedly closed Tuesday night with a sign on the door reading “closed due to family emergency,” owners George and Tony Manos stayed quiet, and police, the IRS, and the FBI told the suburban Journal & Topics nothing despite reports that several cars, including one with flashing lights, pulled into the parking lot late that night. An unidentified person running Paradise Pup’s Facebook sent a direct message saying “The good thing is [we] will be open tomorrow” and adding “Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet,” but gave no identification, which only added to speculation and rumor threads on LTHForum and Reddit while neighboring business owners said they didn’t know why it closed. UPDATE: It’s back open." - Ashok Selvam
