"I'm noting that Myung Dong Kyoja, often called MDK Noodles, is a Korean noodle joint known for its brothy bowls and pork dumplings and will open its first Houston location on May 22. The chain opened its first restaurant in Los Angeles in 2005 and has since expanded to two California locations; Eater LA calls it one of the city’s essential Korean eateries and a solid destination for kalguksu (knife-cut noodles). Ahead of the Houston debut—which was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic—the restaurant has been previewing dishes for delivery and takeout via apps like DoorDash and GrubHub. The extensive menu includes spicy cold kimchi noodle soup, rice cake and dumpling soup, knife-cut noodles in spicy chicken broth, pork dumplings, bulgogi noodle bowls, and several bibimbap options." - Amy McCarthy
