"Yes, there is good Tex-Mex in every part of Dallas, including Deep Ellum. This long-running spot owned by the Rojas family serves up savory chipotle enchiladas in a wine sauce as a signature dish, plus wonderful tortilla soup and beef guiso with onions, potatoes, and mild peppers in a Mexican stewed tomato sauce. There are vegetarian fajitas, pescado Veracruz (fried catfish with a celery-based salsa Veracruz), and chimichangas with a choice of meats and queso. It is also open for brunch on the weekends. Inside is a cave — dark, well-worn, and marked by the bright red walls. As with all places in Deep Ellum, parking is an adventure." - Amy McCarthy
