"Opening February 19, 2022 as the brand’s 10th location, this Back Bay bakery at 180 Newbury St. brings the New York–based chain’s famously hefty six-ounce cookies — crisp on the outside and gooey on the inside — to Boston. Founded in 1995 by Connie McDonald and Pam Weekes, the shop’s signature chocolate chip walnut cookie was developed as an “ultimate” training fuel for triathlon training and remains the marquee item; it will be offered alongside four other flavors, including a dark chocolate chocolate chip. Everything is baked in-house (not shipped), and the menu also includes loaf cakes, bread, sticky buns, and a Newbury Street–exclusive cranberry oatmeal scone made with New England dried cranberries. Beverages include coffee and espresso from Boston’s Fazenda Coffee Roasters. The location will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a standing counter inside and limited patio seating when weather permits. Opening day proceeds will be donated to Women’s Lunch Place, and leftover products will be sent to nearby food banks via Rescuing Leftover Cuisine. The brand is primarily New York–based with two D.C. locations, ships nationwide, and distributes mini frozen cookies to many Whole Foods stores." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal
