Some of the Best Chefs Are Opening a Downtown Austin Mexican Restaurant - Eater Austin
"Mexta Restaurant is a new venture by acclaimed chefs Jonatan Gómez Luna Torres and Mikel Alonso Garcia, located in downtown Austin. The restaurant is set to offer higher-end Mexican fusion cuisine with unique Austin influences. It will open sometime this year, taking over the former Simi Estiatorio space. Initially, chef Carlos Gaytán was associated with the project but has since been removed. Mexta will operate from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and Sunday, and from 4 p.m. to midnight Thursday through Saturday." - Nadia Chaudhury
