"The Renegade, located in Clarendon, is a new restaurant opened by Patrick Crump. It serves as an all-day cafe, bar, restaurant, and live music venue, replacing the former Mister Days sports bar. The venue offers a diverse menu featuring shareable portions of Korean fried chicken, Filipino lumpia, Vietnamese lemongrass beef, and fried yucca, among other dishes. Crump emphasizes creating dishes that aren't commonly found together on other menus, combining elements of Thai, Indian, and North African cuisines. The venue also features a stage for live music, fewer TVs, and more power outlets to encourage remote work. Crump aims for authenticity in his dishes, such as the velvety hummus prepared with care.
