"Oaxacan native chef/partner Pablo Reyes powers the menu at Galaxie, a Mexican street taco hot spot set in a restored historic gas station from industrial designer Walter Teague. All the tacos are stellar, especially the al pastor with pineapple and the brisket birria, served with consommé for dipping on the side. The bar is always convivial, maybe it’s those frozen margaritas and mezcal negronis? Beyond tacos, the spit-roasted pork torta with chihuahua cheese and the adobo chicken burrito are standouts.
