"Bun B’s iconic smash-burger joint is opening a second Houston location just outside the Upper Kirby neighborhood in the Mid West area, taking over the former Boston Market space at 7616 Westheimer Road and slated to open sometime this summer; this will be the brand’s fourth Houston-area outpost. The concept began as a pop-up before launching its first brick-and-mortar in Montrose in 2023, and representatives say they’re also opening two suburban locations — one in Spring (set to open “soon”) and another in Missouri City on Fort Bend Parkway (also opening in the summer). This year the team also launched Trill Town at the Houston Rodeo, a 9,000-square-foot space with its own dedicated food stall that sells OG burgers and exclusive dishes in collaboration with Truth BBQ; the Rodeo presence includes a bar, a merchandise stand, and a Trill Lemonade truck serving freshly squeezed lemonade and Dirty Sodas. The operation can also be found inside NRG Stadium at the Rodeo through March 23 in Sections 115, 135, 522, and 548. Relatedly, Trill Tenders — a spin-off pop-up selling flavorful fried chicken tenders — will soon open its own separate restaurant to sell tenders as entrées and sandwiches and atop loaded fries." - Brittany Britto Garley
