"An opulently decorated north Indian restaurant drawing on Mughal-inspired flavors and presentation鈥攕tencil lattices, carved statues and a lotus-filled water feature set an indulgent tone. The menu ranges from spectacular hits to some misses: standout dishes include a dastarkhani doorani kebab (soft lamb wrapped in chicken), a rich, velvety tarka dal fragrant with crisp red chillies and ginger matchsticks served with feather-light garlic naan, tender lamb chops curried with tomato and fenugreek, and a raan ki kurchaan (slow-cooked, peppery lamb) with spicy-tangy umami. The palak papdi (whole fried spinach leaves topped with sev, tamarind and pomegranate) is noted for its layered beauty; overall the food is hearty, richly spiced and warming." - Adam Coghlan
