"A popular café on Upper King that routinely draws lines for avocado toast, coffee, and shawarma bowls, The Daily (652 King Street) has become so in-demand that owner Michael Shemtov plans to open a second, larger location in the former Butcher & Bee space to give more locals access without long waits. Shemtov says he built the original because it was the place he wanted to have breakfast, but he understands why regulars won’t stand in a 20-minute line; the new Daily on Morrison is intended to offer a bigger space with more parking, a full bar, a bakery, and Wi‑Fi to attract NoMo neighbors and customers who don’t want to queue.
