"Boxcar, the latest restaurant from retail shop Hop City Craft Beer, plans to open at Lee + White in West End on Friday, March 1. The restaurant and an adjacent Hop City shop are located next to Monday Night Brewing’s Garage at the Beltline-facing complex in southwest Atlanta. The restaurant will serve a pub food-heavy menu from executive chef Matt Hutchins to pair with a list of 80 rotating beers on draft, along with cocktails and wine. Hutchins has also worked with Hop City’s other restaurant, Barleygarden Kitchen & Craft Bar in Alpharetta. A second location of that restaurant is planned for Pinewood Forest in Fayetteville. The restaurant’s name and design draw inspiration from the freight cars often covered in graffiti along urban railways. It includes a mural of author and celebrated railroad drifter, Leon Ray Livingston, created by Atlanta artist Catlanta. Hop City plans to donate a portion of Boxcar’s sales to the Atlanta Mission and will partner with WorkSource Georgia in community projects. Boxcar will be open Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Wednesday and Thursday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m,; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 12 a.m." - Beth McKibben
