"Rarely less than packed, this is a south-west London legend. The pastry behemoths here, which come with mash and gravy or triple-cooked chips, are proper rib-stickers: beef bourguignon, wild rabbit and apple, steak with stout and stilton. Pot pies with lids are also available, including an impressively hearty vegan shepherd’s pie, plus sausages with mash (the wild boar ones are excellent)." - Emma Hughes
