"After months of speculation by neighborhood regulars about its future, the permanent closure of Mimi’s in the Marigny was all but confirmed when the beautifully-crafted sign outside of the Royal Street building came down earlier this month. The two-story bar on the corner of Franklin and Royal was all dive on the lower level, with pool tables and a long wooden bar, but boasted a top-notch kitchen and table seating upstairs where customers could order from a tapas menu of items like patatas bravas, mushroom toast, and duck poutine.
