"We started by consulting owners and staff and, after speaking with Carlo at Magna, decided to close on Saturday because the wind made walking unsafe; we typically are closed Sunday and Monday, but on Tuesday the roads were clearer so Chris (our manager/bartender) and I opened by ourselves to give people a place for a drink. Only four people came in all day, the heater struggled because of our big windows and the space dropped to about 50 degrees, so we closed early, and then closed again when the ice hit. The outpouring of community support on social media has been really special, but between other nearby closures I’m worried that if we don’t make it through January we might have to close." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden
