"I'm told Fugazzi, a new pizza restaurant in Pointe-St-Charles from the Barroco group, is slated to open by the beginning of November. It will have a rustic, laid-back feel; the Gauley Brothers designed the space with an 80-seat dining area and a take-out window for Neapolitan-style pies. Executive chef Jérémie Falissard and Barroco chef Marcus Gnosian helped plan the menu, while JP Miron (ex-Au Pied du Cochon and Top Chef Canada finalist) will head Fugazzi’s day-to-day kitchen operations. In addition to pizza, the menu will offer vegetable-based plates and fresh pasta made in a “pasta lab.” The Barroco group's history of swanky openings — including the chic French take on American diners Foiegwa and its speakeasy accompaniment Atwater Cocktail Club — suggests Fugazzi will also include a speakeasy, though details on that bar are being kept under wraps; no exact opening date has been set, so I recommend keeping an eye on Fugazzi’s socials to know when they’ll be serving their first slices." - JP Karwacki
