"Cumin, one of Chicago’s popular South Asian restaurants, is planning to open a new two-story location in Lakeview. The original location in Wicker Park features Nepalese food alongside Indian items, offering buffets and a menu that earned a place on the Michelin Bib Gourmand list. The new venue will replace the former Mi Tierra at 1039 W. Belmont Avenue and will be part of a new four-floor building with three apartments. The ground-floor will have a bar and lounge with over 100 seats, while the second floor will be for private events. The new location aims to provide more vegetarian options and a creative bar menu.
